Mozenrath choked. "You...you're HIM?" So that was why that voice had sounded familiar. Like glass shattering. "AND YOU LET ME SAY ALL THOSE THINGS TO YOU KNOWING FULL WELL YOU WERE THAT WHINY BRAT FROM THE THORN GARDENS?" "If I'm a brat, the certainly you must be the bigger one considering you threw quite the tantrum." Scar told him while rolling his eyes as he was soon going back to focus on his book. "WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?" Instantly, a blast of electric-blue magic rocketed toward Scar - not powerful enough to hurt or kill, but one that was intended to knock the man over completely if it hit its mark. You could say many things about Mozenrath, but you couldn't say with a clear conscience that he was good at learning his lesson. "Well well, what have we here?" Davy Jones mused to himself as he walked up to the doorway he had heard the voices emanating from. Strolling inside, Jones looked around the room. There was a considerable gathering of people, most of whom he remembered from his vision. Among them, he spotted Mozenrath and the Horned King, but they were currently engaged in conversations with others, and Jones thought it best not to interrupt them for the moment. Further inspecting the room, Davy saw that it was lined with books and scrolls. His curiosity piqued, Jones decided that this room would be as good a place as any to explore for now. Walking over to a shelf near where Mozenrath and his companions were conversing, Jones began flipping through a random volume, hoping to find something in its pages that might be of some use to him. "Oh, spoiler alert," Mozenrath said to Jones, getting his attention and pointing at Scar. "That's the lion from the Thorn Gardens. THE WHINY ONE."

Scar felt the blast hit him and was soon knocked down, and made a small groan in pain due to how much that actually hurt due to him never experiencing magic minus the deal with Facilier. "Tch... Still... proved... my... point..." Scar muttered in complete distaste, but would soon stayed quiet clearly angry at the fact that he was hit and had suffered what would feel like a jolt of pain.

"Oh, spoiler alert," Mozenrath said to Jones, getting his attention and pointing at Scar. "That's the lion from the Thorn Gardens. THE WHINY ONE." Varian was so close to using his own shadow to touch Facilier's shadow when he heard Mozenrath. "Lion?" Varian said as he looked towards where Mozenrath was pointing and couldn't believe his eyes! "THAT GUY WAS A LION!?!" Varian stopped what he was doing and walked over to Scar. He got in close to lend a hand to help lift Scar up, but not to help out a fellow villain. No, he only attempted to help lift him up so he could better study the lion turned man.

Facilier simply watched the events play out as he only rose an eyebrow at the mention of whiny lion. Clearly he had made a mistake but as usual there was nothing he couldn't handle.
"Now I do appreciate you don't kill my associate here and now. He still provides use." he told Mozenrath as he slowly slid up to the boy in hopes of calming him down.
"If it pleases you, I might be able to get some free time up for you. If you want to talk, air some feelings of anger out, I got a target or two." he told him friendly. It was always better to butter up angry ones.
Meanwhile he shot Scar a look to not make things worse for either of them. Not that it was possible but keeping Mozenrath on friendly terms was important... After all if he could score a date... Why did he think like that? Well, it was something he genuinely wanted.
As all the commotion went about his shadow instead grinned being forgotten again as it flew behind Varian as it smirked and then tripped the boy by kicking him from behind.

Then again, he'd already misjudged one of his newest...fascinations.

Scar took the look from the Doctor and now remained silent clearly figuring that he favored the Wizard, which he took a small notice at his friendliness at him.
However, he took Varian's hand and was getting up, but remained silent clearly not a fan of being mocked at as if he was some freak.

"Oh, spoiler alert," Mozenrath said to Jones, getting his attention and pointing at Scar. "That's the lion from the Thorn Gardens. THE WHINY ONE." Jones looked up from the book and looked over at the sorcerer. "Is that so?" Intrigued, Davy turned to see the man Mozenrath was gesturing towards, who had been knocked over by the sorcerer's magic and was being helped up by a young boy. He had not paid much attention to the man initially, but now that he had gotten a better look at him, he did seem incredibly familiar. His dark hair, his green eyes, the scar over his eye, it all bore an uncanny resemblance to the lion he had encountered in the gardens. "Well imagine that," Jones remarked, mostly to himself. However, this left one question in his mind: how had the lion changed his appearance so quickly? Was he a shapeshifter of some sort, who had merely chosen to appear in the form of a lion earlier, or was his transformation courtesy of someone else? Davy's eyes shifted to Scar's associate. He didn't look particularly unusual at first, until something caught his eye: the man's shadow, which had not only moved of its own accord, but had tripped up the boy who had been helping Scar. Jones raised an eyebrow in surprise. The captain had seen many a man transform into an entirely different creature, but he had to admit: a shadow that had a mind of its own? That was new. Davy eyed the man to whom the shadow belonged, who Mozenrath had resumed conversing with. Obviously there was more to him than first met the eye. Curious, Jones continued to watch their conversation unfold, hoping to get a glimpse of what else the mysterious man was capable of.

Should he tell Facilier - ? No. He couldn't trust him with that yet. "Nothing special, just trying to get familiar with our surroundings and find a place to lay low when we need quiet time. If we can find that, then I'm all yours."

He wasn't close enough for that with him and figured that if it involved the bag of bones... well, it wasn't something good in the long run. Still he played his cards as he smiled and gently bowed his head at Mozenrath. "Very well, I can agree with those terms. I look forward to knowing you better." he added on it smiling friendly. Oh this relation was surely going places. It was the first time since Naveen that Facilier felt actually really attracted... well, technically since Scar but he right away decided that didn't count anymore. As he had just rounded off his conversation with Mozenrath the last thing he had expected was to be swarmed with questions that really he never bothered with or that he had no interest in answering. Heck, he probably didn't even care about the answers himself. Still he looked curiously at the young boy as he was now absorbing his attention as he pretty much forgot that just a moment a man with a tentacle beard had entered the room... and was watching him as of now. "Well, I never asked myself such... interesting questions." he admitted to the boy as he looked at him as he gave a small smirk. "But I can say he is far from the only sentient shadow I got up my sleeve." he added as he watched his own shadow who just shrugged having not thought THIS was the reaction Varian would have given.

Post by The Horned King on Nov 21, 2019 18:28:23 GMT
Having made his way to the far back of the archive, the Horned King took in the small respite from the dwindling noise made from his compatriots. Vague though Candy's direction was, it seemed checking the furthest depths of the study bared some fruit, with the lich's gaze falling on a large ornate cabinet with intricate designs carved into the wood. He whipped the doors of it open, finding a myriad of scrolls and papers of varying sizes all bundled and packed together. He sent a gnarled hand to grab a handful, quickly scanning one after another: a roll call list for all of Maleficent's goblins (it must have been old - many of the names were scratched out with large X's), a list of domains and kingdoms the king did not recognize (Arendelle, San Fransokyo, Paris, Wonderland... all of them sounding ripe for the horde of Cauldron-Born to ransack and pillage), a set of categorized "prophecies," not too dissimilar from the one about the Five, but clearly not as engrossing or all-reaching (Spinning wheels, diamonds in the rough, fairest of them all... they meant nothing to the lich). The king must've scanned through a dozen rolls, paper after paper, each a plethora of knowledge that could have been useful or even interesting - if he wasn't already so dead-set on finding one specific piece of information. Even after almost twenty or so rolls of parchment, no map surfaced. "BAH!" In a fit of annoyed rage, the lich threw down several of the scrolls on to the floor. "USELESS!" How did KING CANDY find a map of the dark castle but not he?! What was this twisted comedy that the king was being subjected to? "As do I," Mozenrath said coyly. All the more reason to get back to business... He approached the Horned King, attempting to peer over his shoulder. "Find anything?" The Horned King glared at the approaching sorcerer. "Nothing but trivial remnants that mean even less than nothing to me. Why Maleficent bothers to keep such records is beyond me." He cared not for the state he had now left the back of the archive in - a goblin would surely come around to pick up the mess. The lich straightened up before Mozenrath, now eyeing him up. "Have you concluded your flirtations with the lion-man and the crooked doctor? Far be it from me, a shambling corpse and his promises for worlds-wide conquest and power, to keep you from going on a... what's the word the common folk used... a date, was it... with such smooth-talking scoundrels."
