Mozenrath cast his gaze about almost tourist-like as he strode into the midst of the St. Canard Towers. To his left, a staggeringly tall building, 300 floors, the pinnacle spire of the city. To the right, a tower that would have looked comically small at only 22 floors if you didn't remember that 22 floors was very tall to begin with. A block ahead, visible down the thoroughfare, a gleaming blue clock tower. What could he find out here? The tallest building, the 300-floor one, seemed to be under construction as a remodel for an up-and-coming corporation called "Quackwerks." (It also used to be Negaduck's first hideout from which he'd taken over the city, but Mozenrath had no way of knowing that. Nor did he know Quackwerks was Bulba's brainchild.) The 22-floor one belonged to the "Swine Corporation" if he was understanding the sign correctly. "Well, this district is the pinnacle of capitalism at work," Mozenrath remarked. "One wonders if perhaps Quackwerks and the Swine Corporation sell similar products. Maybe they're at war? Maybe something to exploit, if we ever come back on a return trip..." He laughed. "Oh, bazaars are so strange in the post-industrial worlds. See, things are so much simpler back in the Black Sands. I farm everything, I manufacture everything, and I sell everything. For chump change, of course, because Mamluks don't have pocket change. Technically, the Black Sands don't even need an economic infrastructure...but a guy's gotta have a hobby." As Mozenrath inspected the building, Beaks, whom had just finished a deal with Swine Works, exited the building while singing to the music on his Waddlepad without noticying the strangers "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down"

As Ratigan & Clayton were making their way, in the opposite direction of Mozenrath & Jones, they were unaware that they were being spied upon, by a certain rich doc. No not Scrooge, but rather his rival. Flintheart. After recovering from having his tail feathers singed, the mad duck quickly went, to investigate the source of the blast. And so, hiding behind a garbage can, rather unconvincingly, he observed the rat & hunter as they went about their business.
He hadn't heard much of their conversation, only that they and their odd looking friends, were planing to look around the city, cover more territory and secure a bridge. But what for? And what kind of animals were they?! The only one he recognized was the rat. Most of them resembled dogs, but also had monkey like features. And then there were the Octopus/crab fellow and the one, what turned into some kind of candy, bug monster.
Wait a minute! The shapeshifting, their weird abilities, their plans, it all made sense!
"They're aliens!" He declared, in a manner that was suppose to be quiet, but came out a bit louder than it was intended. No doubt they were here, to try their own invasion, like the Moonlanders before them! Well, little did they know, that they had made a mistake coming here. After all, it was he who turned the tide the battle, and heroically saved the earth and won back his company, at the hands of the treacherous Scrooge McDuck! If he could defeat them, he would have little trouble defeating them.
"Just you wait aliens! Because, Flintheart Glomgold, slayer of the Moon People, will soon slay you too!" Flintheart declared, in the same loud/quiet tone, letting out a signature laugh, as he began following the pair.

Magica slowly approached the source of one of the magical disturbances, mainly thanks to crowds of people were running away from something. Of course, once Magica did get past the swarming masses, she could see why they were in a panic. Two strange creatures were now near the very same building Magica was heading towards.
While most would draw their attention to the strange man and octopus hybrid, Magica's eyes were drawn towards the man with the fancy robes and glove. Of course, Magica knew that was no ordinary glove. "The Gauntlet!" Magica muttered under her breath. It was the Gauntlet of the Black Sands. A mystical artifact that can grant a user tremendous magical might, but at the cost of draining the wearer's strength. She once even began a search for this legendary glove, but Scrooge McDuck beat her to the punch and stored the Gauntlet in one of his vaults or in his garage. It vexed her how Scrooge would treat such a powerful relic that could be used to conquer the world as another trinket in his collection.
But now, Magica had a new chance to reclaim this artifact and didn't care how this creature ended up with it. It was risky to use it, but it was just the sort of magical artifact she could use to help reclaim her original powers and get revenge on Scrooge. She was just about to sneak up to come and attempt to steal the gauntlet when she saw a familiar face.
Mark Beaks. That annoying techy billionaire who Magica teamed up with during Glomgold's harebrained villain team up scheme. Not only was that plan a huge disaster, but she had to put up with Mark Beaks constantly taking selfies, and talking about things like hashbrowns(hash tags) and mimes(memes) or something like that the whole time. Magica really tried hard to forget that awful experience. Even using a few memory wipe spells. But still, as much as she despised that little dweeb, he was at least smarter than Glomgold and did have some tricks up his sleeves. And with her being outnumbered two to one, she could use some help. Even from Beaks.
"Ugh, just the thought of asking him for help makes me sick. Wait a moment, perhaps I don't need to ask him..." Magica said as a devious plan brewed into her head. With Mark Beaks too busy singing to himself, Magica used a small amount of what magic she had left to move a stone right into Beak's path. Forcing beaks to trip and bump into the sorcerer. Knowing Beaks, chances are that he'd tick off the gauntlet wielder and a fight would surely brew. Now all she'd have to do is watch and wait. "If this goes well, I maybe getting an all powerful gauntlet and getting rid of Beaks as a bonus. This might be a good day after all." Magica said as she rubbed her hands in excitement and watched to see if Beak would literally fall for her trap.

For chump change, of course, because Mamluks don't have pocket change. Technically, the Black Sands don't even need an economic infrastructure...but a guy's gotta have a hobby." Jones kept a steady pace, walking just behind Mozenrath as they wandered among the giant towers. At this point, although he managed to maintain a neutral expression, he was still in awe of being near such magnificent works of architecture, so unlike anything he had seen before. However, his attention was drawn away from the towers to the sign one of the buildings bore. According to the sign, the building was the property of a company known as the 'Swine Corporation.' Given the animal population of the city, this likely meant that in this world, not only was society made up of pigs in addition to ducks, but there was a distinct possibility that they had founded at least one of this city's major corporations. It was at this point that Davy resolved to stop being surprised by anything he encountered for the rest of his life. "Your home is very different from mine, then", Jones remarked in response to Mozenrath's musings. "Back where I come from, everything is built on commerce and trade, whether it be legal or illegal." Jones paused for a second, as a slight scowl crossed his face. "As I recall, the East India Trading Company was the most prominent as corporations go." His voice held controlled but ever-so-slightly noticeable anger as he spoke of the organization that had made his life even more of a living hell than usual in his final years. "No matter where you went in the Caribbean, their influence could not be escaped. They controlled nearly everything." Even me, he thought to himself, though he neglected to mention this to Mozenrath. The mention of the EITC did cause a thought to cross his mind, though. His death would have dealt them a considerable blow. With him gone and the Dutchman no longer under their control, their attempted war on piracy would probably fail, and their grip on the Caribbean would be greatly weakened, if not completely dissolved. Although it was entirely possible that Beckett lived on, the thought of his schemes failing so miserably did bring Jones some satisfaction. "It does make me wonder, however, about this 'Swine Corporation' and 'Quackwerks'," Jones mused, returning his attention to his conversation with his ally. "How much control do they have over this city? And for that matter, who controls them?" It was then that he noticed what appeared to be a parrot exiting the building. He did not appear to have noticed them, or at their very least he was not reacting to their presence. Besides, he appeared to be little more than an average citizen, and it was not certain that he knew anything of the answers they sought, so Jones chose to ignore him. The captain had failed to notice, however, the duck sorceress nearby, or that she was moving a rock into the parrot's path.

"More good questions," Mozenrath said with a nod, eyes on the tops of the buildings.
Not where they needed to be, on Beaks.
"Maybe something to consider if we ever want territory here...this could require a little coup d'etat, if you're game."

"I don't see why not", Jones replied with a chuckle, as he took out his pipe and lit it. "I doubt a few bureaucratic merchants would stand much of a chance against two men like us, to say nothing of the others." Davy continued to talk as he began admiring the clock tower, still failing to notice what Magica was doing near them. "Still, we'd best not do anything too drastic just yet. I'd rather not make too many more enemies before we've dealt with our present one."
Normally the captain would have been more observant of goings-on around him, such as bird-men and the nearby machinations of witches, but unfortunately, this was not his finest hour.
