[OOC: Apologies for the delay! Yes, we're all good to go for a sorcerer duo entrance! Would you like the honors or should I?] [OOC: I'll take it - it only seems to be the fitting punchline!] "I couldn't help but feel my presence was wanted!" Mozenrath said slyly as he strode into the Storage, arms outstretched. "Now, what do we have - " Then his eyes locked on his target. All at once, his composure was gone. The collected sorcerer seemed to have been replaced by something utterly feral. It was nothing short of a growl: "NEGADUCK." And without even thinking to use magic, the impetuous Mozenrath lunged at the duck physically, attempting to pin him to the floor. "MOZENRATH!" Xerxes had attempted to greet. However, he simply went ignored, and when it seemed Mozenrath had eyes only for his prospective murder victim, he decided to back off. Wait...they'd just opened the door! And caused a distraction! This could be the great escape he needed! "This way!" He used his tail to wave Joanna and Ruddiger toward the open door. "...Me and my big mouth" Clayton mutered, reading his gun in case he would need to use it

Not even seconds had passed upon reaching the storage room before the Horned King watched Mozenrath practically fly through the air to reach the infamous mad duck that the others had such disdain for. The king remembered this room had become something of a den for the more rambunctious of the mortals, and would have liked to had avoid it altogether. But he had let Mozenrath take the reins on this tour of theirs, so there was little he could complain about, lest he appear foolish once more in front of the younger mage. And that was something the lich would not repeat. Before he could get invested in watch his compatriot roast the duck or even set his sights on the others in the room (mortals he did not recognize), his gaze fell upon three creatures making a mad dash towards the exit of the door. Two he knew: the eel that accompanied Mozenrath at his introduction, and the little raccoon that belonged to Varian. The third, some larger reptilian thing, was new to him. Though, there was only one problem for the pets. The Horned King was in the doorway. And he was not stepping aside for them. Xerxes gulped audibly. "Oh no."

Negaduck mutters w ith gun still in his hand & begins coughing when Mozenrath & The Horned King made their entrances via a dark blue magic. Next thing before he foresee, Mozenrath physically charges in a tackle towards Negaduck. The gun went sliding under one of his furniture. Negaduck was briefly pinned down, however with his quick thinking, Negaduck pressed his two webbed feet underneath Mozenrath's stomach, sending him flying towards into empty crates. "Well well well, if it isn't bootleg version of Prince Ali. Guess you're here to finish the job when your sushi pet couldn't do?" Negaduck thrown in a few taunts while he pulls out a mace with a mini spiky ball on top.

Considering how Negaduck did attempt to lock him up in a cage, Ruddiger decided to stick around and see if he could help give Mozenrath a helping hand. Plus he did owe Xerxes still, and maybe helping his master out might even the score. The racoon waited until he he saw a chance to strike.

Post by Percival C. McLeach // Joanna on Dec 5, 2019 3:13:39 GMT
McLeach and Joanna both got distracted by Mozenrath's sudden appearance. McLeach was distracted because some Arabian girl/boy was now attacking a possible benefactor of his supplies while Joanna was distracted by Xerxes's call.
"Woah-woah!! Take it easy there, ya drongo," McLeach called out, trying to calm Mozenrath down. "What's going on-"
Actually, McLeach also heard Xerxes say something. He didn't know what, but he saw him and the raccoon start to leave. He called out to Joanna when he did. "Joanna: sick-em!"
Joanna, knowing this was possibly a good way to escape, scurried after the pair as McLeach gave her the chance to 'catch' them and follow Xerxes. But even she froze in her tracks when she saw a freakin' skeleton in front of her.
"WHAT THE F-WHY ARE THERE ZOMBIES HERE??" She shrieked in her language, backing away slowly at the Horned King, who stood in their way.
As he tried to step in to try and separate Negaduck from Mozenrath, even he froze at the sight of the Horned King. "What the-who the..."
Admittedly, his shock turned into grumpiness when he realized. "Oh yeah," he grumbled, "we're surrounded by magicians."

Clayton eyerolled, he tried to not say anything that would disrespect the mummy-like figure near there, considering he might be another one of the Five, nor did he wanted to get caught in the middle of Mozenrath´s or Negaduck´s fight.

Mozenrath seized the mace in his right hand, a blue shell of magic protecting his palm from its spikes. "YOU TOOK MY CRYSTAL," he seethed, squeezing the mace until it shattered into metal shards. "AND THAT'S GOING TO BE THE LAST THING ANYONE HERE EVER STEALS FROM ME!"
He drew back his hand, now blazing bright with blue energy, ready to slam it into Negaduck's face full force. It wouldn't kill him, no...just leave his face looking a little more unique if it landed.

Xerxes gulped audibly. "Oh no." Mozenrath's pet... thing. The Horned King mused, ignoring the unfazed raccoon or the shrieking lizard (though, it was rather difficult to do so, given it's shrill cries). Even if Mozenrath was clearly busy with his vengeance seeking, he'd probably... most likely... maybe... something akin to somewhat wanting his floating familiar back. ...or maybe the Horned King just wanted something to squeeze to alleviate some of the stress he had accumulated in the past few hours. "I believe I will be holding onto you for safe keeping in your master's stead, creature," the lich hissed as he swiped at Xerxes, his gnarled hand trying to latch onto the eel's lithe body.

Post by Percival C. McLeach // Joanna on Dec 6, 2019 15:31:02 GMT
Joanna watched as the zombie guy held Xerxes in his grasp and almost sighed at the prospect of a possible hunt or exploration being terminated for a moment. Either way, she still shouldn't be suspected by anyone since she's so far only been viewed by doing her master's commands...right?
With some of the initial fear over her, she had taken a few steps towards the now captured Xerxes and hissed, "Good luck getting out of this one, drongo." She then stuck her tongue out at Xerxes for good measure.
McLeach, however, was paying more attention to the fight that could possibly be starting. He knew that a full-on fight between villains would most likely get the attention of Facilier, Maleficent, or another of the Five and rain hell all over everyone in this room, especially him. And that was assuming that the Horned Zombie at the door wasn't one of them. So McLeach needed to distracted them before things got out of hand.
As quickly as he could, he reached out for his Winchester. As the Girl-Looking Mage (McLeach doesn't know who they are) raised their magic hand to probably send Negaduck through all of Storage, he fired his gun into the ceiling with one hand, hoping the sound of his gun would make them pause for a moment.
This shot would make Joanna flinch as she turned to see who fired. When she saw it was McLeach she looked towards where he shot. Surprisingly, the bullet wouldn't really leave a big hole in the ceiling. Maybe a small one where it hit with cracks around it, but nothing that would threaten to fall down and break more of Storage. She looked back down at McLeach as he took a few more steps towards Negaduck and Mozenrath.
"Could we not get into a fight right now??" McLeach began loudly, trying to command the situation, "Look, I don't know what's happened between you two, but whatever you're doin's most likely going to bring in some very unhappy attention from the Five. We literally have Maleficent's goons right outside the doors! So put down the weapons and magic and start workin' things out like civilized Villains before they report what's happenin' to her and make all of us lose our chances of at whatever we're here for."
He hoped to anything and everything this would work. How the hell am I suddenly the freakin' ringmaster of a circus? He wondered, suddenly wishing he was doing things by himself again.

The explosive sound startled Mozenrath into falling right off Negaduck, the blood drained from his face.
So THAT'S what the portable hand cannons sound like?
Negaduck temporarily abandoned, Mozenrath turned to glare at McLeach from where he lay crouched on the floor. "Don't...EVER...do that again!" he snarled. "Or at least WARN ME BEFORE YOU DO!"
Meanwhile, Xerxes squirmed frantically in the Horned King's grasp. What did this man want? Something horrible, no doubt. Maybe to eat him!
He had to hope that the bond he'd made extended both ways. Desperately, he cried out, "JOANNA! HELP!"

Negaduck took on the magical blast from Mozenrath to his face, resulting his beak is back of his head and still beaming angry eyes towards the sorcerer. In a cartoonish matter, Negaduck twisted his beak back into place. “Of course you realized,” Before Negaduck finished his sentence, he pulls out 2 rocket launchers in both hands. “This means war!”
Negaduck has set on target where Mozenrath stands, but paused when McLeach of all people interfere & being the voice of reason. As much Negaduck isn’t for one to step down from a fight, McLeach brought up a good point the Big Five at any point get furious and temporary call a truce. “You’re absolutely right, McLeach. Guess you could say we all have been under pressure and last we needed is starting a war with each other. Besides, we all supposed to be friends, ain’t that right pal?” Negaduck puts up an act playing the ‘reasonable & understanding’ Duck as stand right next to Mozenrath, while he pats Mozenrath on the back hardly & while shaking his left hand.

When Xerxes asked for Joanna's help, she sat down and pondered if she should. She even tapped her chin with her hand as she did.
"Hmm," she wondered allowed. "Let me think...nah. You put yourself into this situation, Xerxy. You can deal with your master's punishments."
With that, she turned around, swung her tail straight up in defiance, and walked away from him and the Horned King to sit by McLeach's side. McLeach didn't pay attention, though, since his own attention was towards Mozenrath and Negaduck.
"Hey, it got your attention," McLeach growled towards Mozenrath, "and that's all that matters."
"And don't you tempt anything right now, either," McLeach continued as he pointed at Negaduck. "Now, I know that we're all itchin' to do the things we all used to do like steal, maim, torture, and murder...but there will be a chance to go outside this castle and do those things to those who deserve it in due time. Until then, give our...friend back whatever you took from him so that we can get back to gettin' ready for whenever that happens. Sound fair?"

Post by Professor Ratigan on Dec 7, 2019 13:05:19 GMT
The gun blast, nearly caused the Professor to gain a heart attack! He had been so focused on the fight, that he had almost forgotten about the others. After calming down after a bit, he turned to McLeach. While, he would've given the hunter quite an earful for his reckless behavior, Ratigan has then taken aback by the hunters' calm demeanor and choice of words. He had not expected, a man like him to be so levelheaded and rational. He suddenly had a new appreciation for the hunter. If nothing else, it helped to delay the Rats' possible fate at the hands of the Mallard. After a small sigh of relief, he turned towards the others.
"While this man's methods might be a bit…crude, I must agree with his points. We are all members here, no doubt under watch by the great Maleficent and her minions. Anything we do to each other, will be brought back to her. She said we needed to work together remember? I doubt she would be thrilled, to learn we've come to blows all ready."
Thankfully Negaduck seemed to agree, though who knows long that would last. So for now, they could only wait for Mozenrath's response, and prey it was a positive one. With that mostly taken care of, Ratigan turned to the Horned King, having noticed Xerxes current plight. With the hunter's pet having seemingly abandoned him, and his master currently occupied, it would seem some would need to help the poor thing…it would have to be him wouldn't it?

Mozenrath flinched away from Negaduck; "Don't you touch me."
Straightening up and dusting himself off, he tried to keep calm: "Of course I know that the only way this operation will work is if we're both on the same page. Therefore, I'm willing to put Negaduck on parole. If he gives back what he stole...he gets a second chance. He stays out of my hair, I stay out of his feathers."
He held out his right hand to Negaduck, palm open. "Give it back. NOW."
Xerxes could practically feel his heart breaking as Joanna abandoned him. Had he not made a true friend? It was almost enough for him to stop squirming altogether.
But then he remembered - Ruddiger! What if the little raccoon could help him?
He cast a pleading glance toward Ruddiger.
