Negaduck still faceplanted against the stone wall as he sees there a small cliff just above his grasp. Sure he'll be standing and above everyone's reach, but downside he'll be a sitting duck with not enough room to avoid. Once Negaduck quickly climbed up to the small cliff, he took a quick breather but takes another look at the crystal. The crystal is now rapid faster and looks it could explode due much magic withdrawn at any moment.
"Those morons forcing me go into retreat, all for something that I FOUND in the first place, & now they plot to kill me? ME?! At this point, I would rather be back terrorize St. Canard. Could things possibility get ant worse?!" Negaduck speaking to himself and in frustration while seeing his reflection via crystal. Negaduck suddenly felt rumbling and the small cliff he was standing on crumble away.
So now Negaduck is falling down once again and this time landed on the ground. Negaduck tries to get back up to his feet, only to get piled underneath by a rock slide. Negaduck still survived despite all the rumble dropped onto him. Unknowingly to everybody seeing massive rocks dropped onto Negaduck, he pulled a hand drill and begin routing his hands while holding the tool.

Varian didn't get far as his small body had trouble pulling Mozenrath to safety. Still, he did manage to get Mozenrath inside the castle. He paused to catch his breath near the Thorn Gardens entrance. Then suddenly a bright flash came out the doorway, soon followed by a loud POW! Varian peaked through the entrance and saw that Negaduck was normal sized again and seemed to have been slammed into the wall. Looks like they had won.
Varian also noticed that Negaduck wasn't the only one normal now. After being flung by Negaduck from his tail, Ruddiger shrank back to his original size too. And Varian suspected Ratigan would shrink too in a few minutes.
Though as he thought about Ratigan, Varian noticed Ratigan looking ready to kill Negaduck. As much as he was tempted to do the same after Negaduck attacked Ruddiger in his Mega Negaduck form, he knew that was a bad idea. After all, what would happen if the Five found out they executed one of their comrades without their permission. "Wait Ratigan, we need him alive." Varian said as rushed back out into the gardens.
Ratigan ignored the boy, and continued his way towards Negaduck, the side effects of his potion, making him focus only on his weakened foe. Though he didn't notice that he was slowly shrinking in size bit by bit. His mind returning to him slowly alongside it. He was right about, to start his assault…when a large pile of rocks fell on top of the Mallard, seemingly crushing him too death. After a brief pause to process what had just happened, which had helped, to restore a bit of his sanity, Ratigan grumbled disappointingly: "Well…that's annoying."

Varian rushed over to try and stop Ratigan, only to arrive just in time for a pile of rocks to fall right on top of Negaduck. Varian was frozen for a few moments as he was shocked by Negaduck's sudden death. He might have been a psycho, but Varian doubt even he deserved to go out like this. It stirred a lot of conflicting feelings and thoughts in Varian.
Though those thoughts and feelings took a back seat as he realized how this could be a problem for all of them. "...Oh no. Not only did we lose the crystal, but now we're going to have to explain that we killed Negaduck to Maleficent, Hades, Dr. Facilier, or the other two of the Five. And with Negaduck and the evidence buried, we might not have enough proof to back up our story. Ooooo this could be bad..." Varian began pacing to try and keep calm and think about how to explain this to the Five. Even if all of them tell the Five their story, he was worried they'd still be angry considering they lost an object of great power and one of the great villains that Maleficent bent time and space to summon.
"Oh, and Mozenrath's likely going to go on a rampage when he finds out the crystal is likely smashed to pieces. That'll make things even better." Varian said sarcastically. Only good thing about this mess was that Varian's goo compound worked and his staff proved useful. Speaking of which, he paused his pacing for a moment to recover his staff which fell to the ground after Negaduck's defeat. Then quickly resumed his nervous pacing and trying to think of a way out of this mess.

Clayton hadn´t put much though onto it, but it was clear the duck had put them in a worse situation than he had expected, then again, while they tried to stop Negaduck...None of them had a hand on the finishing blow "Well...As far as I can see, the only evidence of his demise is a rock slide...Someone with his antics could have caused that by himself" He said while smirking, though there was still the problem of what would Mozenrath do once he found out about his crystal´s loss.

Well. The situation had went from optimal to begrudgingly tolerable within just a few moments. The duck's rampage had finally been put to an end, but perhaps too well. For such a resilient trouble-making fowl, it was altogether disappointing that Negaduck met his end to the sound and strength of a rock slide.
The Horned King came closer and eyed the presumed resting place of the troublesome fowl and sneered. "Irritable bird."
He turned to face the now normally-sized Ratigan and nervously pacing Varian. "There is nothing to be gained from keeping our minds on the "dearly" departed. He was unstable from the moment he arrived at this castle, and jeopardized our entire operation. If Maleficent and the other members of the Five do not recognize how dangerous his unruly behavior was than they are more foolish than even he."
The lich gritted his teeth. "Though... you are right about one thing, young Varian... Mozenrath will be very displeased upon realizing his crystal lost. This could prove... bothersome.
He cast another look at the collection of boulders, a thought quickly popping into his mind as his gaze shifted to Ratigan. "Professor, if I may be so bold. Is it possible you could fit into the crevices of those rocks and perhaps retrieve Mozenrath's crystal if it survived being buried? The bird won't be needing it any time soon."

By this point Ratigan had returned back to his normal size…and normal state of mind. While he was disappointed, that he was once again the weakest one amongst the group, for now he was more concerned with that fact, he had accidentally revealed his…dark impulses to the others. Ordinarily, he refused to let that side of him surface, unless it was to some about to die, and the rat wouldn't be able to handle it, if the others thought he was some kind of monster. Hopefully, he'd be able to convince everyone, that side was simply a side effect of the potion and not him. The professor was pulled out of his train of thought however, when the Horned King suggested he search through the rocks, for any sign of the crystal. As much as he loathed having to do dirty work, he would need the crystal later, if only to prove his worth to Mozenrath. So, he calmed down and turned to face the rich. "Well, I suppose if it means finally putting an end to all this madness, I may as well endure a little more work." And with that, Ratigan squeezed his way through a nearby crevice and began his slow journey through the rocks. It wasn't too bad, despite his rat size, just rather tedious and exhausting, after a long battle. After a long journey, he finally made it to the center…only to find, no Negaduck or crystal. Instead, there was a rather large hole, big enough to fit the mallard, with a few feathers behind it. It didn't take long for Ratigan, to realize what was going on, and soon returned to the rest of the group. "We may have a problem. It would seem our avian foe, might not be quite dead yet.…"

Varian hoped Ratigan would bring good news about the crystal, but turns out he brought even worse news. "WHAT? bu-bu-but how is that even possible? A human body can endure so much, and Negaduck should be able to endure even less give his shape and size. How can he survive what I calculate to be about a ton of rocks landing on him?" Varian pondered for a few moments then looked towards the Horned King who was the only available magical expert. "Is it possible that even though we overloaded the crystal, Negaduck could have still used it's power to escape?" As much as he hated to think it, it seemed magic might be the only logical explanation as to how Negaduck escaped.

The Horned King glared indignantly at the pile of rocks. How can one duck - one blasted bird - be so meddlesome?
"I know not the specifics of the crystal's properties - only from what I've seen with my own eyes and what I can infer. Mozenrath would obviously know best. However..."
The lich brought himself before the stones. Negaduck was, if nothing else, a crafty one. He survived Maleficent's wrath when he first arrived and the combined might of all of their powers together were just barely enough to stop his rampage. He was a deplorable, durable little cretin.
As such...
Extending his bony hands forward, the Horned King channeled his dark magic over the collapsed rocks, curling his fingers as if trying to grab them. It took a little work (using all of these different magics he hadn't used in millennia one after another was beginning to put a strain on his old body), but slowly, the stones began to shake and tremble, before being lifted into the air and away from Negaduck's supposed grave. One by one, he placed them elsewhere in the gardens until a nicely sized hole was revealed. Upon seeing the hole, the undead sorcerer scowled further.
"Mozenrath said the crystal could overload if infused with enough magic. That hole is too perfectly made - it's no crystal explosion. The duck is still here."

Clayton was wondering how a talking bird would have managed to dig a hole so quickly, anyone else wouldnt certainly have survived...Well, pheraps the Horned King judging that he was already undead. He considered following the lead, but the hole was too small for him to chase Negaduck, and putting dynamite to blow it up would risk getting the crystal lost...From the looks of it, they would need to rely on their rodent allies and the flying eel.

Xerxes had been hovering over Mozenrath, listening to his master mutter incoherent statements that seemed to center upon some sort of "Arbutus" person.
He suddenly got the feeling of dread that usually meant he was about to be roped into a very, very dangerous scheme.

"He's still here? Hmmm..." Varian went back deep into thought thinking about what Negaduck's next move could be. As he pondered, Ruddiger walked up to him, though it was clear the racoon was limping a bit. It seemed that he go injured during the fight. Varian picked him up and petted him to give some small relief to the raccoon. Though as he comforted Ruddiger, Varrian remembered that portal opening device, and how Negaduck seemed like the most likely candidate to request the device. "Then maybe it's best to leave tracking the duck to you guys. I should take Ruddiger back to the lab and get him healed up. Besides, I have a hunch Negaduck might try to take something from my lab. So in case he's dumb enough to not try and get as far away from here as possible, I'll be ready and waiting for him in my lab." Varian started marching towards his lab with Ruddiger in his hands.
(OOC: Unless anyone needs him, I'll have Varian head to his lab and get some rest.)

"I told you...the rose..."
Mozenrath suddenly realized where he was. Reality swam into view. He wasn't in Arbutus' enchanted gardens. A garden, yes, but a much less aesthetically-pleasing one.
He shambled into a standing position, shuffling out as he wiped the grogginess from his eyes. "What happened?" he asked the group with as much contempt as he could muster.
