After having separated from Negaduck, the mallard had been a bit too brutish & blunt for his liking, Ratigan had mostly been left to his own devices. He spent most of that time exploring his castle, and managed to familiarize himself with many of the rooms. His comrades, had certainly seemed to have made a home for themselves, as many had all ready established a mini base to call their own. He had stumbled into Sykes room, though he seemed busy at the moment, so he let him be.
As he was the leaving the Storage however, he noticed something. A sizable hole in a nearby wall, just a few feet next to it. It was big enough for a cat to enter, and the perfect size for him. His curiosity getting the better of him, Ratigan entered inside, to find that behind it was a quite spacious room. Large enough for several other mice to fit in, and at least one human. Sure it was rather dusty and empty at the moment, other than a handful of miniature tools that could be used for furniture, and not quite as ideal as his homebut Ratigan was sure that with enough work and effort, he would be able to transform it into the perfect, private lair, like his hold hideout in London.
"Oh yes, I believe this will do nicely…" Ratigan said with a grin, as he looked around his new lair.

Having walked his way outside of the mousebole, the lion was definitely planning to avoid the humans, at least for now as he knew that many of them would hunt him down by looks alone as he was clearly uncertain on who was there as he didnt remember all the faces he saw in his vision.

It had taken a while, but Ratigan had managed to fully refurbish his new lair, using a few scamps and tools littered around the castle. Just one or two tickets, that wouldn't be missed by others, but serve him well in his lair.
"Ah, finally it is complete! Now, for the next order of business." With his room finished, he could finally return to making allies. Once that would serve him quite well, when the time came. And with that goal in mind, Ratigan left his room…unaware of the lion that was walking towards him.

The Lion would take notice of the sewer rat below him as he made a sly smirk at him.
"My, to think I'm not the only animal here." Scar commented as he didnt know what to say as he merely was curious on who he was.

The sight of Scar, was almost enough to make Ratigan have a heart attack. Almost. He had far more composure, to be caught in like that.
But still, the appearance of Scar, had taken him by suprsie. He had been used to being around humans, but this was a lion! And a fully grown one at that. Outside of pictures and the occasional times, when his crimes involved the zoo, he had never really seen a grown lion this up close before. It was a rather unusual sight. But, then again, if he was brought onboard in a team of mostly humans, it would be expected for other animals to arrive sooner and later. If nothing else, it was good to know that he and Negaduck weren't the only animals here. And to have a lion, he could make for a very useful partner indeed.
The professor quickly composed himself, and turned to greet the mighty lion was a gentlemanly, yet sly smile: "I could say the same. Other than Negaduck, you're the first half intelligent animal I've encountered here. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Likewise. From what I saw, it seems everyone here has some sort of motive of being here. What is yours?" The lion would ask as he soon laid down on the floor allowing the rat to stare at him in the eye as he was more than willing to give him a chance.
If he upset him, he would likely just try to eat him, but knew that wasnt wise on his own end.

A man of culture eh? After the more brutish Negaduck, it was certainly refreshing to see. "Why, what else? Power, riches and of course, to take revenge on the miserable do-gooder, who ruined me…and recall my title as the Great Criminal Mastermind & Supreme Ruler of all LONDON!" Ratigan answered, with a triumph sense of glee. "You?"

"Pure unadulterated power. I ruled the Pridelands, before I was... dethroned by my nephew. I wish to reclaim what I lost. And murder the current king along the way." Scar explained to Ratigan as he noticed that they were similar in the sense that they wished to rule their respective homelands.

"You don't say," Ratigan replied with a knowing smile. "It would seem, the two of us are kindred spirits of sorts. We have both had power over our lessers…only for those pesky interlopers, to mettle in our affairs! Ohohoh, but soon that will change. Soon, we will return to our respected worlds, stronger, more powerful than before and reclaim all that is lost! And then, all the worlds will bow before us!"

"Of course. I think we're gonna get along quite swimmingly. Unlike my former... friends." Scar told him as he shuddered remembering what his own allies did to him and would rather forget what happened.

"Oh, let me guess. Trouble with the help?" Ratigan asked, knowing all too well, the failings of minions. "I know a thing or two about that. Wether they keep whining about the work, and refusing to do it, because of simple "morals & ethics" or its their own stupidity and lack of foresight, dooming your MASTER PLANS BEFORE THEY EVEN START!!!" Taking a moment to calm himself, Ratigan continued: "It is so hard, to find good help. But hopefully, this venture won't be as unfortunate as my last…"

"You can say that again... Its like leading children. They're either too dumb or too disobedient. There's no in between really. That being said, if theres others like you, then I'm quite confident that things will change, whether they like it or not." Scar explained to the smaller friend as he smirked as he couldnt help, but to chuckle as it was the first time in ages that he felt happier than usual.

"Indeed, good sir," Ratigan agreed with a hearty chuckle of his own. "Allow me, to introduce myself. I am the World's Greatest Criminal Mind, Professor Ratigan."

"I'm known as Scar." The Lion would introduce himself as well as he felt quite comfortable calling this rat his friend.
"Perhaps a secondary alliance would be a necessity in case... things would go... poorly." Scar told him as he knew that secondary precautions were needed.

Now THAT caught Ratigan's attention. A secondary alliance, between the members of the group? It certainly sounded interesting. Though, it took him a while to consider the option. On the one hand, he doubted that the higher ups would be too thrilled to learn, that their members were plotting and gathering together behind their backs. This alliance, was meant to bring everyone on equal footing and scheming in the background would go against that, and no doubt lead to disastrous consequences.
But then again, he had been meaning to gain more allies among his peers. Compared to the rest of the team, who were mostly all human and more powerful than him, Ratigan knew he was near the bottom of the food chain. For now anyway, if he could manage to stay on Mozenrath's and possibly Varian's good sides, he could soon potentially gain abilities, that would allow him to even the battle field. For now though, striking an alliance with Scar, didn't sounds like such a bad idea. He had becoming something of a kindred spirit for Ratigan, and one he would rather have as an ally than a foe. And who knows, together, with a few potential additions later on, they could rise through the ranks and become recognized as being just as worthy, to be among their piers. And, perhaps even rise above them.
With a devious smile, and a mind filled with ideas, Ratigan ultimately agreed: "Why, I like the way you're thinking Scar. This could be beginning of a beautiful, and mutually beneficial partnership."
