InkNegaduck still guarding from Varian, until he regain the strength just enough to pull him backwards to a cabinet of bottled potions. Before ink clone could act anymore, he was stabbed by Jones' sword as well blast by Mozenrath's spell. In an sudden end, InkNegaduck is no more when he exploded into splats of ink, possibility covering some villains with ink, and when body dissolves, the crystal emerges from the black goop.

InkNegaduck was defeated, but Varian didn't get to enjoy the victory. Mozenrath's beam of energy and Davy Jones' attack both struck at the same time as Varian hit the fake duck with his staff. Both the attacks sent an enormous amount of energy coursing through the staff as the staff made contact with the ink. Normally Varian's rubber gloves would have protected him from the shock, but it seems that sometime during the battle in the gardens or during the fight with InkNegaduck, Varian rip a small hole in the gloves. And that small opening was enough to let the energy zap him body and make him scream and twitch comically before he collapsed. Thankfully the gloves did protect him enough to keep him from feeling the full force of the attack and doing too much damage to him. He laid passed out on the floor landing in a puddle of the ink.
Ruddiger rushed over to check on Varian. The racoon became relieved to see him still breathing. Though now he was worried for himself as now he was left alone with the others. Especially the Horned King and Davy Jones who really spooked the poor racoon. So the racoon quickly scurried off to a hiding place in the lab, but kept an eye on the others to make sure they didn't harm Varian.
(OOC: I'll be a bit busy this week with projects so I thought it might be a good idea to have Varian taken out of the picture for a bit.)

After the inky Negaduck clone exploded, Turbo got some ink drops on his helmet. Since his helmet was made out of plastic, that should be easy to clean.
He left the crystal be, since Mozenrath and Davy Jones were standing closer to it than he was. He then turned to the Horned King and asked:
"Okay, can we leave now?"

Ratigan had little time, to celebrate this victory, as the ink duck exploded coating everyone in its remains. Ratigan in particular got the worst of it, due to his small size, as his entire being was covered in the gook. After a few seconds of processing it, and slowly wiping the ink of his face, he began to scream: "Even in death, that Pesky ANNOYING DUCK, STILL FINDS NEW WAYS TO PESTER US ALL! AAAAAAARGH!" After throwing a rather lengthy tantrum, the rat slowly decided to calm down a bit, slowly making his way to a nearby cloth, wiping himself clean. "But at least, this one's finally gone."

The Horned King sneered as inky blots spattered right at his feet, nearly missing him.
"Disgusting," he hissed, before turning to face Candy. "The fake gave up the true Negaduck's location. If we are to stop him from whatever asinine plane he is concocting, we must make haste to the storage room."
Though he was the closest to the door, the lich found himself stopping, his gaze slowly landing on Varian. The young alchemist had channeled so much anger, so much wrath, towards the inky fowl, and collapsed onto the ground of his own domain. Ink had begun to stain his clothing and face. It was not a good look for the young scientist.
"One or two of you. Get young Varian out of that filth and take him to his chamber," the Horned King ordered, waving his arm out towards the group and jabbing a finger at a nearby doorway in the lab. "I believe it is that room over there."

"VARI - "
Wait.
Why was he concerned with the kid? The ink-thing was dead, and he had his crystal back.
There was no need to be worried about anything else besides that. Mozenrath had what he wanted...for now.
So he shut up.
But when the Horned King gave the order, Mozenrath was the one to nod. "I wouldn't want anyone tripping over this idiot."
With a flick of the wrist, he levitated Varian's unconscious body, stalking into the chamber the Horned King had indicated with Varian floating behind.
Once inside, Mozenrath placed Varian's body rather unceremoniously on the bed. He turned to leave -
Then turned back, flicking his wrist again. Now Varian was lying on his back, the blanket covering him neatly.
"Don't say I never did anything nice for you," Mozenrath hissed. "Then again, I wouldn't want you saying I DID do anything nice for you, either."
It must have been because he saw so much of himself in Varian. The curiosity, the willingness to experiment with magic (oh, he might call it "science," but he was playing with arcane forces), the drive to find what was out there, that one - particular - hero who kept getting in his way. Even the hair had its similarities. If the boy had the proper mentoring...why, he might turn out just as wonderful as Mozenrath.
The way Destane had made him. Except that style of teaching had driven Mozenrath to destroy his mentor, and he would rather go out by his own hand (literally speaking), if anything. He may not have been perceptive, but he was a strategist, given that he had enough time to plan things out. And if he were to take Varian under his wing...well, it was worth spending a few acts of "kindness" to ensure Mozenrath's own safety. And that was all there was to it. Exchanging niceties for safety.
All there was to it.
He left before he could entertain any other notion.
Back in the lab, he summoned the crystal to him, only to see it covered in ink. With a snap of his fingers, Mozenrath caused the crystal to violently bob up and down in the air, shaking the coating of muck (and no, he didn't much care where it landed or who it landed on). "Let this be a warning," he announced as he plucked the stone out of the air and pocketed it. "Steal from me and it will be the last item you touch."

Turbo had nothing to gain from staying in the laboratory. He quickly wiped the ink off of his helmet and left the laboratory, heading for the storage room.

After properly cleaning himself, Mozenrath had all ready started to tuck the unconscious Varian into his bed. A shame, that he would not be joining them for the fight, Ratigan would've liked to taste some more of that wondrous growth potion, but then again an unconscious alchemist would only get in the way. With that aside, it seemed that the king, was all ready well on his way out. No doubt to confront Negaduck in his storage. "So," he turned to address his fellow villains. "Shall we resume our hunt?"

Upon the destruction of the InkNegaduck, Davy Jones found himself splattered with ink. As annoying as it was, at least it did mean that the annoying clone was no more. "Finally", he muttered, getting to his feet and wiping the ink from his face. "That damn creature was grating on my last nerve." He continued to listen silently as the others discussed what to do next.
"I'm with you", the captain said in response to the rat's suggestion, which Mozenrath had seconded. After all, it wasn't like he had anything better to do besides wander the castle and play the organ in the Auditorium. Besides, that duck had caused him far too much irritation for Jones to let him escape without feeling the sting of his blade.

Jones nodded and turned to leave as well, still holding the sword-like contraption Varian had given him. It was a truly remarkable weapon, not quite like anything he had wielded before. He doubted the boy would mind if he kept it long enough to use it to deliver retribution upon the scoundrel that had caused them all so much trouble.

"W-where am I?" Varian found himself floating in in a strange magenta sky, on top of ruins that seemed to be from Corona. One thing that stood out to Varian in the distance was an old tower in the distance. "What in the?" Varian had never seen this tower before, so he wonder why it was in his dreams. Suddenly, the tower began to crumble and break with the pieces scattering and floating in the void. Varian ducked from the flying debris and when he looked up, there was something still standing in the wreckage. It was a cauldron. One that at first glance seemed like an ordinary cauldron, but as it floated closer to Varian, it gave an ominous aura. Once it was in front of the young alchemist, strange markings began to glow revealing a drawing of a face. "The Black Cauldron is in the spire..."
"Huh? Hello? Who's there?" Varian asked as he couldn't see anyone. But little did he realize, that there was small one with horns and a wicked smile just behind him. It whispered into his ear. "A friend...Or at least I'd like to be...Go to Corona...Then seek the Spire...In it, you will find what your ally seeks...and more..."
Suddenly, the Cauldron seemed to glow and rumble and soon began pulling Varian in. Varian tried to run but the cauldron was too strong and he feel inside. And he floated in the inky black abyss that was inside the cauldron the voice once again spoke to him. "Rest Varian...You'll need your strength. For when you venture to the spire."
And with that, the dream slowly came to an end and Varian started returning back to a normal unconscious state. His body laying there and resting peacefully now that the nightmare was over. But while he laid there, someone was watching over him. It looked like a ghost, a pale light blue ghost of a small girl. It watched Varian with an evil smirk. She was glad that she had planted the seeds in his mind to help make Varian a useful pawn for her plans.
What no one in the castle knew was that this spirit was also brought here to the castle along with Varian. Her portal and Varian's merged together and both came through at the same time, but no one noticed her because they could not see the spirit. It seemed even Maleficent's magic couldnt free her from her prison and only her spirit was summoned while her physical form remains trapped. There was only one person back in Corona who could see her thanks to her connection to one of her disciples. The only way she could have anyway to communicate with the others was through their dreams as she had done so with Varian. Even then, her time was brief and she couldn't control everything that happens in the dream. Only send brief messages. But she had already planted a message in Varian's head that should help her create a portal to return to Corona and begin work on her own plans. Though in the meantime, she would still try and take advantage of this golden opportunity. It seemed that these villains had stumbled upon a cosmic power that could be equal to, or even greater than the ones hidden in her world. And she'd be a fool to not try and pursue this power as well. Of course, being unable to seen by the others or able to interact with anything would make things difficult for her. But she was very clever, and there had to be someone in the castle who could see her. Though for now, she would take advantage of being invisible to the others to learn their secrets until she was ready to make her move...
