The explosion was small, but still rather powerful. It was quite fortunate indeed, that he had been rescued in time. "Ah, thank you the quick rescue mr. Mozenrath. It was truly generous of you." Though, the young wizard, did seem to pay much attention to the professor as he was scolded, by the Horned King. It was rather amusing, seeing the lich castizing the villains as if, he was a parental figure of sorts.
As he looked over to expect the damage, he was happy to see that not much had been destroyed, including anything related to Negaduck's teleporter. Though, that would probably be the least of his worries, now that he told Mozenrath about the crystal. Speaking of which, everyone seemed rather determined to get back at the duck, for his involvement in the matter. It seemed to was too late, t odd anything about that. Let's just hope, that Negaduck didn't immediately suspect him of letting the cat out of the bag…at least not yet.
"Aptly put good sir, though I'm afraid I'm still unaware of his current location. After he left with the crystal, I didn't have time to follow him all the way, before having to met with Varian. Oh, and as much as I support your justified need for retribution, I don't suppose you could keep my involvement in revealing it, to a minimum for the time being? With my current stature, I'd prefer to be spared by his wrath for now," Ratigan said, in a half truth. Really, just didn't want to give Negaduck complete confirmation, that he was the one who told Mozenrath, and hopefully divert the anger towards someone else.

You were telling me important information: information that would have died with you. I'm an opportunist, not an altruist." Mozenrath began to wonder exactly what Ratigan's ties to Negaduck were. Why was he in particular so afraid of the duck? Was it really just about his size...or had he betrayed an alliance? If it was the latter, well, Mozenrath would just have to make Ratigan see that he'd traded up. He still needed to work out how he wanted to play this. For now, he simply said, "Your secret is safe with me. After all, I couldn't really rely on you as a source again if I proved myself untrustworthy with the intel, could I?"

"…if you say so," Ratigan responded, rather caught off guard by the sorcerer's sudden response. It seemed rather unfitting for a sorcerer such as him. But then again, he supposed he could understand the reaction. In his time, he had to deal with his ignorant, stupid fellow mice, who dared to confuse him with a filthy rat. Perhaps Mozenrath, had suffered through similar scrutiny. Regardless, it was at least good to know, that he would keep his involvement out of it. Though, given how he was trying to butter him, it seemed he had all ready figured it out. If he had any resentment towards him, he kept it hidden well. For now, it was best to play it safe, and hope he could get back on the sorcerer's good side. "No, I suppose you couldn't. Regardless, I thank you for the cooperation. It is appreciated."

"Now." Mozenrath tapped his lower lip as he pondered. "I still have some locator left over from the Pain and Panic chase. I could use that to go after Negaduck at any time. However, the Horned King and I are still...on a tour of the castle."
He fired a knowing look toward Varian. Ratigan wouldn't know, but Varian should have some idea of what was going on, since the Horned King had mentioned his name earlier. Maybe Varian would catch the hint and give them some direction as to a place to store the Cauldron, or a place to learn more about it...

Scar would soon be arriving to the archives as the more leaner human took notice at the whole scenario going on, but was soon looking for a place to sit, as he was waiting for the Doctor to show up.

With the small matter of Negaduck mostly dealt with, Ratigan was slightly disappointed that Mozenrath was moving on with his tour (though taking notice of the cryptic look he was shooting Varian. Wonder what that was about…), but it did give him some time to think on his next course of action. He had originally went to get Varian onboard wit the teleportation plans. Now that that was mostly done, he had a few other options from here. Perhaps he could lend the young alchemist a hand, helping him anyway he could. Or maybe he could keep up appearances a while longer, and report back to Negaduck…though, that run the risk of him being caught in the act and potentially terminate his working relationship with Mozenrath. Alternatively, he could just go wondering off and see more to this place. Perhaps meet a few potential allies on the way.
Before he could make any decision, he noticed a peculiar stranger walk by the Archive, rather awkwardly if Ratigan could add. His curious was peaked. What was he doing here of all places?
(Yeah, I know I probably shouldn't acknowledge Scar yet. But, I'm going to bed soon, and I wanted to at least have him notice him, before that.)

Post by Doctor Facilier on Nov 14, 2019 9:59:39 GMT
Doctor Facilier soon showed up as his cane hit the floor as he suddenly looked around with a slight smirk. Clearly, everyone has been busy already but to see so many faces in one place... he took stock of all of them... a rather large rat, a boy that was seemingly working on something, a boy that well, for his age, wasn't that unpleasant to look at and the last thing he only gave a glance before knowing that it wasn't something he wanted to deal with soon enough.
Though he already know he eventually had to.
"Well, well, quite the assembly here. Don't mind me and my friend over here, we will be busy covering some... topics he needs to learn about." he told the group before giving Scar a knowing glance as he pointed his head to a book for him to grab and not get too much attention.
"Oh, but I suppose introductions ARE in order after all." he told them as he smiled stretching out his hand as several of his business cards appeared in them for him to hand out to the group of strangers. "Enchante, je suis Doctor Facilier... How might one of the Five be of service to you later?"

Looking for a map, King Candy was wandering around in the castle. Then he suddenly found a library in the castle. Maybe there could be a map here?
He entered the library, and started looking for one, but he couldn't find one. He did, however, find Varian, Mozenrath, the Horned King, and Dr Facilier all together, and he even saw a glimpse of Professor Ratigan. Next to Facilier stood a man with long black hair and with a scar on his face.
He supposed looking for a map could wait for now. For now, listening to their conversation from a distance would do.
(OOC: Any OC posts I've made in Scar's "The Library" topic are no longer relevant)

Ratigan mostly ignored King Candy. He still didn't consider him, worthy of much attention. But this Dr. Facilier on the other hand…he looked very interesting. He read through his business card. Tarot Readings, Potions, Charms, Dreams made True. Judging from the listings and the man's attire, It would seem he was in the presence of another sorcerer. Not only that, but one of the big Five as well. He was wondering, where the rest of them had run off to. "A pleasure to meet you my lord. It's an honor to be graced by the presence, of one of our leaders," Ratigan said in a formal tone.
He also noticed, his slight glance towards the mysterious stranger. Did they have some kind of relationship? And why did he, look so familiar?

Post by The Horned King on Nov 14, 2019 14:38:08 GMT
Much to the lich's displeasure but not out of the realm of expected consequences, within just moments the explosion from within the archive, several others from the castle interior had arrived, though none seemed to care for the reason behind the charred remains of the study. King Candy's bulbous head stuck out from afar, and the dark-skinned rogue seemed to have some trouble navigating into the archive itself. The king noticed traces of transformative magic emanating from him - perhaps a creature now turned man? He even sensed where it most likely had come from: the flashy gentleman in purple with the cane.
The Horned King wouldn't have given him a second thought; the charlatan looked and acted the part of a scoundrel and a deal-maker, which was made all the more apparent by the... tiny scraps of paper he had taken out, promising readings, charms and "dreams coming true." The king might have actually laughed upon hearing this Facilier claim to be one of the Five if anything actually humored the king at this point in his un-life.
However... the dark aura the king felt upon the man's arrival and the remnants of magic surrounding the scarred warrior that arrived shortly before him... he certainly felt them, there was no mistaking that.
Still, the king had his doubts. Maleficent was cosmically powerful and Hades was a God. What could this magician of a man do to earn himself such a prophesied position of power next to them?
"Maleficent did not mention in the prophecy that any of our five leaders would be... exceptionally tardy to the task of universal conquest. Though I suppose earning the bronze medal is... admirable enough," the king claimed in a low voice, red eyes glaring up and down Dr. Facilier. "Perhaps your little cards could show the pathway of where we might find a certain fowl within the castle who is sorely in need of a good roasting."

The lean Man nodded his head to the doctor as he went to grab some books and would soon begin reading clearly not expecting to see so many people here, and just mentally prayed that no one would give notice.

Mozenrath was awestruck.
This man...who he'd never seen before...was one of the most beautiful he'd ever laid eyes on.
The tone of his skin, the length of his hair, even the little scar over one eye...
Well, well. Ever since we met...
He stepped up behind the scarred man, waiting for an opportunity to break into the conversation between him and Candy.
Oh, Ahriman, he had never flirted with anyone before. But how hard could it be? You want someone, you make them yours. Like everything else in life. That was how it worked, right?

The man soon stared at King Candy for a bit clearly surprised by the approach as he was clearly looking around for a map.
"I'm sure there should be some around here." Scar made his reply to the King as he was soon seeing the sorcerer again, surprised that he was approaching him again.
"And you must be?" Scar asked the sorcerer as he had no clue what to do, as he just wanted to get back to reading, and needed a alias as he met Mozenrath before.
