As Varian looked around the room and getting a good look at everyone, he started to nervous. Some of them clearly weren't human, and even the human looking ones looked dangerous. Part of him was curious about the duck and rat that spoke like humans. He was especially interested in and frightened by the man who turned into some sort of part bug, part man, and part machine. As he backed away from the bug man, he bumped into black vehicle. "Amazing! A carriage without a horse? I wonder what sort of metal this is." Varian tapped the hood and accidentally made the hood fly open, and he saw the engine inside. "Fascinating, this is the second most interesting engine I've ever seen. It's like the Automatons, only specifically designed for propulsion." Varain even began considering using it to escape until he noticed the man in the black suit and his dogs who clearly owned this car based off the dog shaped decoration on the car. It was too risky to steal it with them standing so close.
Though when lightning and thunder shook the room, his eyes were drawn towards the woman who responsible. The woman who called herself Maleficent had captured everyone's attention and he considered escaping with the vehicle with the man and the dogs distracted. That was until he heard one word.
"Revenge"
This woman was promising an opportunity for revenge against the kingdom of Corona. The ones who left his father to be encased in stone and imprisoned him for being the only one trying to stop the black stones. While he still didn't trust anyone in this room, he was very tempted by the offer. Of course, he was also smart enough to know that it wasn't a good idea to defy someone who says "your refusal punished severely". "Alright, I'll join your little group. As long as you stick to your word and I get to avenge my father and make the kingdom of Corona pay for abandoning him and betraying me when we needed them...Also, if someone can get me out of these hand cuffs, that would be great too."
Maleficent tapped the base of her staff against the cobblestone, and the handcuffs vanished from Varian's wrists. "To hold such darkness in your heart at such a young age! Follow my lead, boy, and you shall become one of the greatest villains to ever live! All of Corona will bend to your will."

Sykes did not fail to notice Varian's intrusion of his vehicle. He inhaled a long drag from his cigar, before making a point to send the smoke from his mouth and into Varian's face. "You don't look like you could afford to cover any damages to a car this expensive, boy." Sykes asserted. "I suggest keeping those filthy hands to yourself."

Post by The Horned King on Oct 14, 2019 5:09:41 GMT
The Horned King silently contemplated what he had heard thus far, dragging a bony finger across his chin. The Prophecy of Five, was it? Perhaps he had heard it once long ago, but he could not be certain. The forces of darkness had many such similar tidings and divinations - to remember all of them would be a fool's errand.
He eyed the inhabitants of the courtyard with quiet disdain. The sorcerer in blue had bowed so easily to the overly chatty Underworld god's provocations - both would have to be kept an eye on. The talking... duck and the bug creature were loud, and the lich could have sworn a rat had run right passed his feet. It was clear that the company that this Maleficent decided to keep was less than what the Horned King had expected.
However, with the faery's removal of the young boy's restraints, perhaps cooperation between those present was possible. Though he would loathe to admit it, he was unfortunately within Maleficent's debt for her stepping in when she did, and just from her presence alone he could tell that her magical prowess is far greater than any he had ever come upon in Pyrdain. And he would much rather continue existing under someone who could potentially bring him back to the greatness of his former self than writhe away in some unkept pit the one called Hades described.
With outstretched hands, the lich stepped forward from his place in the shadows of the courtyard. "While I have no intention of becoming attached to this merry band you've had congregate here, O mighty mistress of evil, this hollow undead shall head your call, so long as your promise of power and vengeance rings true when the time comes."

Varian happily rubbed his wrist and enjoying finally being able to move his hands again. "Thank you Maleficent." Of course, while he did show appreciation to her, he was still the most suspicious of her and this five she mentioned. He had a bad feeling about this plan she mentioned and the crew she assembled for it. But for now, he'd gladly work for her as a means to his own ends.

In fact...if you're interested, I might even be able to make some improvements later if you let me study it."

"To tell you the truth, my sabbatical from the living was caused by error on part of my vehicle. You may have piqued my interest, Mister...?" Sykes left his sentence unfinished for the young man to introduce himself. If what he said was true, his vehicle would be able to survive any matter of obstacles, let alone a speeding train.

Negaduck has his arms crossed as he listened to Maleficent's speech about the prophecy of Five and the rewards she promised caught his attention immediately; Power, riches, and revenge. Given his greedy and sinister nature, he would love keep all the money for himself, have all power for himself, and finally kill off Darkwing Duck for good! However on the other hand, he needs to stay on their good side for the time being, especially towards Maleficent and Hades given their status as the Prophecy Five. If he does go off rail, he'll find himself back into wandering through the multiverse nonstop forever or ended up as a roasted duck. Then again, he'll gain the trust among the other villains within this new group and even some who'll be useful allies.
"If your words are as true as they are, then I, Negaduck, would be more than gladly join in this Villainous group. Just say the word and I'll get slicing started. If there's one thing I love in the morning, is bringing nothing but chaos."
Negaduck firstly removing his hat, before gave a bow. Afterwards he immediately placing the crimson and black hat back on his head and bust out his signature chainsaw.

"The name is Varian, and I'm so much more than a mechanic. I'm an alchemist, a man of science! I'm an inventor of machines and potions." Varian noticed poor Ruddiger still shivering in fear from the dogs. He had an idea to help prove his skills and teach them all that no one messes with Ruddiger. "Allow me to demonstrate one of my creations." Varain said as he pulled a very small vial from a hidden pocket in his lab apron. He used a few tiny drops in the vial and dripped them onto Ruddiger. Suddenly, there was a flash of light and suddenly the small scared Racoon was a vicious beast that was twice as tall as dobermans. It snarled at the dogs for a few moments, but then almost as quickly as he turned into a ravenous beast, he shrunk back down to his old self. "Of course, that was just a small sample of the formula. A full dose would make the transformation last longer, and make him even bigger! And if I get my hands on a fully equipped lab, that will be the least I can do."
Varain put what was left of the potion away. Varian only had a little left after using most of it for his attack on the Corona castle. He wanted to save what little that was left for an emergency. "Now, would you care to tell me a bit more about yourself?"

Negaduck practice swing around his chainsaw, but then paused when he realized something about the prophecy. Negaduck tilt his chainsaw straight up like it was a cane and place both of his hands on the back handle when a question came to mind.
"If two of the prophecy are here, then why not haven't we seen the other 3 yet? Don't tell us they all got cold feet and couldn't bother showing their faces around here." Negaduck pressed the question and gives out a laugh, while waiting for a response.

It might be both a useful tool and weapon if he can convince the Duck to let him study it along with the vehicle. He also thought it might be interesting to see if his growth potion would work on him and the rat. The potion only seemed to work on animals, but would it work on anthropomorphized animals as well? He listened to the Duck too as he made a very interesting point. Where were the remaining members of the Five? Did they simply have other business to attend to, or were they up to something behind their backs? He pondered all this briefly as he spoke with the man in the suit who seemed shady but at least seemed like the only normal human in the room.

Post by King Candy on Oct 14, 2019 9:16:01 GMT
When Maleficent let her thunder echo throughout the courtyard, King Candy reverted from Cy-Bug Mode to his King Candy form. He listened carefully to what she and Hades had to say.
This was the first time he had ever heard of the Prophecy of Five. It started to interest him. After his defeat in Sugar Rush, a desire for revenge on Ralph and Vanellope started to fill his heart. And joining forces with Maleficent would give him this chance. There was no way he could turn down this opportunity.
After Maleficent was finished, Candy started jumping excitedly, while shouting "I'm joining! I'm joining!".

Power? Riches? Revenge? Now, this was something Ratigan could get behind! He had no idea, what this "Prophecy of Five" Maleficent spoke of, but just by looking at her & her allies, he could tell that she had the power to back up her words. And if that was the case, he would have everything to gain, from this venture. He may have been infamous during his reign in London, but with these people at his side, he could finally gain everything he had ever wanted and more. Power over all mousedom, possibly beyond that. More riches than he'd know what to do with. And his long awaited revenge, against that insufferable, pipsqueak Basil! He wasn't thrilled wit the idea of serving someone, but considering the circumstances and being at a serve disadvantage, if Hades' warning was to be believed, he was comfortable with making the most of his current situation. For the time being anyway.
"I too, would be more than happy, to join your villainous ranks," he said, with a gentlemanly bow, and his best smile: "and, I look forward to seeing, where this venture leads to. And the rewards, that come with it."

Sykes let out a hearty laugh, as Ruttiger reverted, and his dogs reemerged, embarrassment apparent on their faces. "I usually find these two digging through the trash with rodents like that between their teeth!" Sykes extended a gargantuan hand to Varian. "And you, Mr. Varian, found a way to make a real killer out of one. I go by a lot of names in Hell's Kitchen, but you can call me Sykes."

If there were supposed to be 5 leaders to serve under, why were only two present? He thought it best not to mention, seeing as most of them present could easily kill him, and his last near death encounter was still too early for his comfort, but it seemed rather suspicious.

After having made, his introduction, Ratigan had attempted to perhaps strike a conversation with some of his fellow villains. Though, it seemed that very few had given him a time of day. Loathed as he'd admit it, it would seem no one was willing to take a rat, like him seriously. This would be a problem. How was he meant to keep up with his teammates, much less earn their respect, when he could be easily squashed by half of them. "Oh, this can not stand," He grumbled irately. "There must be someway, to put myself on equal footing with them…" It was around that moment, that the young boy Varain, turned his raccoon into monstrous size. Even if it was, for a brief moment, it certainly caught Ratigan's eye. To think, that a boy that young could create something like that! He claimed to be a man of science, but his potion had managed something, thought impossible in his world. If he had had someone like that, he would've never needed that fool Flaversham. And perhaps then, that annoying Basil of Baker Street wouldn't have caught wind, of his scheme. A boy like him could be useful. If nothing else, he would be a big help to current predicament. He approached the young boy, making sure to stay away from the Dobermans, and complimented him with a small clap: "Ohoho, I must agree with the good Mr. Sykes, my dear boy. It's truly a magnificent invention. Why, I was quite friendly with one of the most brilliant inventors in London, and I can safely say, your vial could put even his best work to shame."
