Not sure if this is the best place to say this or not, but, I'm really sorry I haven't been active here yet. The last few weeks have unexpectedly gotten a little rough - one of my best friends just lost his dad to cancer and he is NOT taking it well, so I've been spending a lot of my free time trying to be there for him and support him.
I'm excited to get the ball rolling here, and to see a lot of the old VWF people again, and I should be able to do that soon. The worst has just about passed and my time should be freeing up pretty soon. Don't smoke tobacco, kids.
Sorry again! Hope you all had a good Halloween!

So currently I'm drawn a blank to where Negaduck should go to next. He could go to the Office meet up with Sykes since they haven't met yet or one of the new rooms yet. Or he should return to the Storage to find Joanna and Ruddiger screwing around in there & both accidentally knocked over a box filled of diamonds could be one of the suggestions. Or uncovering Negaduck already made out a bunch of blueprints for the teleporter hidden away. I'm in the same situation with King Candy. Lastly, I had him with Clayton, and then they went looking for a map or something. Come to think of it, I don't think King Candy and Negaduck have met before. Maybe we could let them cross paths sometime? That’s true. I suppose a meetup between the two of them could be fun.

Just thought of something that might be interesting to have either appear in the storage or revealed at a later point in the RP. What if someone finds one of the crystal shards from the Crystal of the Magic Kingdom attraction at the Magic Kingdom. If a shard from the crystal can boost Maleficent's powers, maybe it might boost the magical powers or skills/abilities of anyone else who finds it?

All right, so I know this one is tricky by nature since we don't want to take too many potential villain choices off the board for new users, but in terms of the eventual Ventures Forth, I'm currently in a plot where the Horned King and Mozenrath are trying to figure out a human sacrifice to the Black Cauldron, preferably an evil soul.
So Moz's natural reaction was to start listing off lower-impact members of the ATAS Rogues Gallery, and I just want to put the idea out there that if we can agree on a lesser villain from one of the spinoff shows with larger galleries that we KNOW no one will want to play (like Malcho, who was only in two eps of ATAS and no one ever brings up), we could potentially have them be the antagonist of one of our adventures for this purpose.
However, that will, of course, require care to make sure no one will want to claim the target. Another option I'm open to is resurrecting Destane, since he isn't really a character and can't be chosen to play, and whoever manages him in that quest can just play him as an OC villain for that storyline.

I hadn't even thought about it much at the time of writing, since it just seemed to fit the grim nature of the mission and the Horned King's personality. At the time, I just thought that, whenever we decided to get Venture Forth underway, that some of us would simply play as the heroes of our villains' respective films or series, or even have a dedicated player to play as the heroes.
I know it's still in the works so it really can go any which way, so it can just as easily go as mentioned above with selecting a villain no one is going to choose, though, also as mentioned, being careful not to take away the opportunity from someone to play a villain they want to.
I mean, I know it'd be hard for everyone here to lay a finger on Amin Damoola, let alone defeat him and put him in the Black Cauldron, but who knows!

Im 90% sure no one wants to touch Jake and the Neverland Pirates villains (the ones besides Hook I mean), so there is that as well.

The structure idea I was kind of thinking, talking it over with GA on our own time, was that for a Venture, we could have one person already on this forum as a villain take a role of a "dungeonmaster" who creates the quest and obstacles and plays the hero/the hero's party. That person can't play anyone who's on the quest, and DEFINITELY shouldn't play a villain on the quest if they're the canon rival of that hero. That way, the reactions can be organic rather than the DM trying to play both sides. Then the rest of the party figures out how to get around that person's obstacles.

I would be more than willing to be a DM for some of these. I don't get a chance to play D&D where I am right now, so I'll take all of the practice I can get.
